I'm in a lull. The weather outside is frightful. (yeah, Christmas is coming, too) We had a week of snow, Thanksgiving preps, a lot of football (high school), and just some slow days, caring for my wife.
I don't like shooting outdoors, unless there is some sun. But, learning to get good pics, in crappy light is on my list.
Thanksgiving went well enough, with me doing all the work this year. (Ladies, I'm a catch)
We had 4 local football teams, competing for the State finals, two made it to Ford Field, one took the Championship, in their division.
My wife is still fighting the chemo, but it's wearing her down. Thankfully, she had her last "Red Devil" treatment and we're on to the Taxil chemo, starting tomorrow. This is supposed to be milder. 12 weeks to go.
I've gone through most of my photos and I think I have all I want here. No sense re-cropping some, just to add pics.
I may get outside today. The snow has mostly melted now. (we had 8 inches) It's still cloudy. Maybe, I can get some really drab shots. LOL
I'm getting work done on the Widowmaker drawing. Not too much to finish. I'm stuck doing spokes. Much work for a little detail.
I took a big step, that I wished I had taken years ago. I ordered a left hand acoustic guitar, which will be here tomorrow.
I'm pretty damn excited! I played for 15 years (right handed) and then broke my left index finger, very badly. It doesn't bend well.
I had to give up playing, because I was too bull headed to try playing with my 3 good fingers.
Heck, Seasick Steve, plays pretty good with 3 strings. www.youtube.com/watch?v=pNoPNC…
Anyway, I have always regretted that. So I decided to start from the beginning, using my other hand to chord.
So that's what went on in November. Nothing.
I am running ideas through my head for shooting things inside. No room in my house and with the dogs, setting a spot up, won't be easy. I hate seeing dog hair in my indoor shots. LOL My wife has a few cool unicorns in her collection. They would be nice to shoot. We'll see. And my new guitar is going to definitely get some shots.
I hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving (USA) and that your Christmas and New Year's be happy and safe.
I'm thinking I deserve a four pack of these on New Year's Eve. newhollandbrew.com/beer/mainst…
